Santa Barbara Mini Trip

Santa Barbara Mini Trip

I had the pleasure of visiting Santa Barbara, California a few days ago. I have not been there in about 5-6 years so this was a total refresher trip! Luckily Santa Barbara is only about a two hour drive so I was able to go during the day and come back by night.

On the way to Santa Barbara I stopped by to see the Malibu Hindu Temple. Although I am not a Hindu, I respect all religions and cultures. I went because I wanted see the amazing architecture and observe how they pray. Learning about other religions is so interesting because it opens your mind to embracing diversity and tolerance of others with different beliefs. If you ever get a chance, take a moment to step out of your comfort zone to learn about another religion. You do not necessarily have to worship that religion to learn about it or visit.

In one day I was able to see the 5 different places that I have listed above. My all time favorite place that I visited was the Santa Barbara Zoo because I had never been there before. It was a small zoo but it was so nice considering all the variety of animals they had. It was so cool to see giraffes, flamingos, gorillas, penguins and other animals! I highly recommend that you visit if you are ever in the area.

It was also so cool to finally see UCSB too. As a university student, I have this ‘thing’ for checking out other campuses. Each and every school is unique in its own way. UCSB had such an amazing view of the ocean in walking distance and the campus was absolutely beautiful as well. The campus was a bit empty because it was summer, but it was nice to walk around and explore.

I wore a casual yet comfy outfit to Santa Barbara that day. I wore my soft striped tee with my embroidered jeans and I paired the look with my favorite walking cloud foam shoes. You can shop my look below! I always like being comfy when I know I am going to be walking a lot that day. After my trip to UCSB and Isla Vista, I headed back home to LA.

That pretty much wraps up my mini trip to SB. Thanks for stopping by loves!
